CONTINUOUS RESEARCH
We are performing a research campaign to study how to reduce line forming during extrusion.
Studying the extrusion stop zone on the profile (for a billet change) with a microscope, we verified that extruding without nitrogen those areas are more dirty than using liquid nitrogen.
We are still performing some experimental analysis that are noticing how using liquid nitrogen during extrusion reduces the line forming on the profile.
